🍌 A homemade banana bread-inspired syrup, poured into an iced matcha latte that’s smooth, creamy, and just a little indulgent.

Ingredients

Banana Bread Syrup
-
1 cup water
-
1 ripe banana (mashed)
-
½ cup brown sugar
-
½ cup granulated sugar
-
1 tbsp maple syrup
-
2 cinnamon sticks
-
½ tsp vanilla extract
-
A pinch of salt
Banana Cold Foam
-
1 tbsp milk
-
2 tbsp whipping cream
-
1-2 tbsp banana bread syrup
Matcha latte
-
3 g Pluck Matcha
-
30g hot water (80°C)
-
1 tbsp banana bread syrup
-
½ cup ice
-
½ cup of your preferred milk
Directions:
1. In a medium saucepan, add all the ingredients for the banana bread syrup.

2. Simmer on medium-low heat for about 5-10 minutes. Stir occasionally.

3. Allow the syrup to cool for about 10 minutes, then strain out the solids. Transfer the syrup into an air-tight container. The syrup can be refrigerated for up to two weeks.

4. In a separate glass, add 1 tablespoon of milk, 2 tablespoons of whipping cream and 1 tablespoon of your banana bread syrup. Use a milk frother until foamy; this typically takes 1-2 minutes.

5. Sift 3 g of Pluck Matcha and add 30g of hot water (80°C). Use a matcha whisk until frothy.

6. To assemble the drink, use 1 tablespoon of banana bread syrup. Fill ¾ of the cup with ice and your preferred milk.

7. Pour over your whisked matcha.

8. Finish with the foam top and a sprinkle of ground cinnamon.
