Canoe Lake Blend
Notes of caramel, maple sugar, cacao, and a hint of pine smoke intertwine in this rooibos and black tea blend. Memories of campfire s'mores and summer evenings in a cup! This blend includes freshly roasted cacao nibs from Toronto's Chocosol.
Note - the black tea in this blend has been smoked over wood fires in the finishing process. It's truly a smokeshow in a cup (perfect for Lapsang Souchong lovers) so, if you don't love smoky flavours, this tea may not be for you. Maybe try Canadian Maple instead.
Traditional Preparation: Measure 1 tsp of loose tea and add to a tea filter or strainer (or use one tea bag). Steep in 8-12 oz freshly boiled water for 5 minutes. Delicious on its own, or lightly sweetened. Enjoy!
Hot Latte Recipe: Measure 1 tsp of loose tea and add to a tea filter or strainer. Steep in 4-6 oz freshly boiled water for 5 minutes. Add hot steamed milk of your choice. (Dairy, nut, oat, etc) Leave the bag in for a stronger brew if desired.
Iced Canoe Lake Milk Tea Recipe: Steep 2 tsp of this tea in 6oz freshly boiled water for 5 minutes. At this point you can chill the tea in the freezer for 10 minutes (remove tea leaves first) or pour into a glass over ice slowly. (The ice will partially dissolve) Add chilled milk of your choice and enjoy! Delicious with a drizzle of chocolate sauce.
