Recipe - Restaurant Tea Recipe: Vanilla Ginger Ale

 

The NO/LO (no alcohol, low alcohol) drink trend is picking up steam on menus across the country, and your restaurant tea selection should be a source of delicious new options.

Making a concentrate in the kitchen is an excellent way to portion tea based drinks consistently and easily.

Here’s a recipe for a house made vanilla ginger ale, using our Ginger Root tea.

Recipe:

Steep 1/4 cup Ginger Root with 1/2 vanilla bean (split lengthwise) in 2 cups of simmering water.

Add 1/2 to 1 cup sugar and stir until sugar is dissolved.

Turn off heat and let cool.

Strain this concentrate and chill.

To serve:  Add 1-2oz to a tall glass and top with soda and a lime wedge. Delicious!
