At Pluck, our formula is simple:

We source premium tea leaves from Ethical Tea Partnership sources from around the world, then add unique local ingredients like Prince Edward County Lavender and grape skins from Southbrook Vineyards in the Niagara region. The result: one-of-a-kind tea blends as distinct and unique as a well-aged wine.
Founded in 2012 by tea sommelier and passionate connoisseur Jennifer Commins, our Toronto – based tea house provides signature offerings to restaurants, hotels, offices and retail partners. All of our products are blended and packaged locally in our small batch blending facility in midtown Toronto.

“Working with Pluck tea on our REAL-TEA project was a great experience. They completely understood the concept right away and created six unique blends perfectly captured the theme of each tea. Easy to work with, and accommodating with timing and schedules, it was a very smooth partnership. I would definitely recommend a partnership with Pluck.”

“There is no other tea company out there that would help us create experiences like telling our guests that their tea was inspired by the works of the Group of Seven (hanging a couple blocks away at the National Gallery), or that I’ve been to the lavender farm where the lavender in their tea is from, or that the whiskey cocktail they are about to enjoy has tea hand – blended in Ontario or that after a glass of Southbrook wine they can also enjoy those dried grapes in a berry tea blend!”

ABOUT JENNIFER

Talk about passion. While most kids were playing tag and drawing pictures, Jennifer Commins spent her childhood collecting Red Rose tea sculptures and learning to blend the mint, thyme, sage, rosemary and lavender from her grandmother’s tea garden. After almost two decades in the design industry, Jennifer decided to follow her vision to start a modern loose-leaf tea company committed to social and environmental stewardship, as well as exceptional quality.
A Tea Sommelier by training and a member of the Tea Association of Canada, Jennifer is fiercely dedicated to celebrating local flavours by sourcing quality ingredients from nearby farms, and by developing unique and special blends inspired by the regions and cities she loves most. She works with chefs, restaurateurs and wine sommeliers to concoct new and unique tea experiences for Canada’s hottest restaurants. And yes – she still has the Red Rose sculpture collection.
