Pluck Tea BBQ Sauce

INGREDIENTS

  • 3 tablespoons lapsang souchong loose leaf tea
  • 250ml freshly boiled water
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1½ cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons dry mustard
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon chili powder

DIRECTIONS
Add lapsang souchong tea to the boiled water and steep for ten minutes.
Strain and pour tea into a medium saucepan.
Add remaining ingredients and stir well.
Simmer for 20 minutes.
Makes 30 oz. of sauce
